1. Rotary Clubs wanting to list a project:
To list a project, you have two options:

i) To fully use Start with Water, if you are a Wasrag member, you should get a password and sign in. This will allow you to:
  • fully list a project,
  • seek partners among other Rotary Clubs,
  • have your project appear on our map,
  • track your project,
  • pull reports from our system
  • contribute to overall learning by sharing information like "lessons learned" and information about the cost of items and services, etc.
If you have a project idea, consider consulting our Learn section for information on Best Practices, Planning, Technologies etc. For help in gathering information needed prior to listing your project, download the (.doc 72 KB) information form.
When you are ready to list your project, click on Projects/List a Project. Complete the fields that apply to your project, then click on the Create a Project button. For help see "How to LIst a Project".

Considerations: How far along is your thinking on this project? Have you consulted the local community? Do you have a clear understanding of what the community thinks their needs are?

ii) If you are interested in inputting a "basic listing" we offer this free service to all non-Wasrag members. This permits us to gather information about the work Rotary is doing in the water, sanitation, health & hygiene sector, and to monitor completed projects, alert clubs of the need for remedial work, and gather lessons learned.
To do this, you still need to get a password. Sign-in then click on Projects/List a Project.

The Training section of this site, has presentations on "How to List a Project" and "How to Edit a Project LIsting"

2. Rotary Clubs looking to get involved in a project:
What level of involvement does your Club want? We have three levels from which to choose:

i) Level One – be part of the project team. Your main contribution is to provide funding.
FOR LEVEL ONE PARTICIPATION:
  • Find projects of interest using the search function. You can search by one or more search parameters; the more search parameters you use, the more focused your search results will be;
  • Once you find a project of interest, in the project listing CLICK to email the project lead. If there isn't yet a project lead, you can complete a field to indicate your club is interested in supporting this project. Once a project lead has been determined, he or she will get in touch with you.
ii) Level Two – be a project lead. This will require more time and expertise. As project lead, you will be responsible for developing the implementation plan and working closely with the host Club or partner to complete the project.
FOR LEVEL TWO PARTICIPATION:
  • Search for projects by selecting criteria of interest to you, such as country, language spoken, etc.;
  • From the results, find projects of interest that do not yet have a project lead;
  • Once you find a project(s) of interest, just click to email the Regional Team for the project area, and indicate our interest in being the project lead club.
Iii) Level Three – take on responsibility for developing a regional plan. This requires major involvement and expertise. If there is a Regional Team in place for the area you are interested in working in, contact them. If not, set up a Regional Team where none currently exists, and complete a needs assessment for that region.
FOR LEVEL THREE PARTICIPATION:
  • Find a geographic area that interests you, and contact the Regional Team;
  • If there is no Regional Team in place, Click here to contact the Start with Water team.
